The Bulgari logo was first used in 1934 when its lacquered brass lettering marked the central door of the Condotti flagship store. Referring to ancient Rome, the letter “U” was replaced by the letter “V, and thus the logo was born. Since then, the Bulgari brand has been written in the classical Latin alphabet. The Vulgars were a silversmithing family from the Epirus region of Greece. The Vulgaris family of Corfu and the Vulgaris family of Italian goldsmiths, Bvlgari from Epirus, share the same patrilineal line.
